We strive to bring any project across the finish line- with an invaluable degree of personal investment, passion, and skill. We prioritize effective communication, high quality craftsmanship, and efficient and organized construction sequencing.

Our experience and knowledge spans from brute site work, to delicate museum-standard restorations, to sophisticated electronic and HVAC systems. Our ever expanding network includes the areas very best contractors and design professionals. This means we bring the expertise and ability of a larger firm, but with the ability to resolve challenges quickly, keep a fresh perspective. We work to stay flexible and strategic throughout the construction process and maintain a collaborative approach for clear decision-making as a project progresses.

Building is our identity- what we love to do- and better yet is when those we work for enjoy the experience as much as we do.

About Brad:

From an early age, owner Brad Rappleyea developed an affinity for architectural design, constantly filling up drawing pads with floor plans, building models, and shadowing his contractor father. From the day it was legal, he began to work for his father's company during summer breaks, learning the ins and outs of the trade, and was involved in many historically natured projects.

Following High school, Brad pursued an associates in business and thereafter moved to Boston for further education in historic restoration at North Bennet Street School, the Nation's most prominent and prestigious trade school. There, Brad found his ideal mix of technical and academic, studying the craft of architectural preservation, alongside other exacting disciplines such as violin and cello making, and book conservation.

After learning from leading experts in classical architecture and preservation carpentry, and honing his craft within curriculum projects on several national register historic sites, Brad graduated and moved back to the Hudson Valley. Over the years, he has been involved in a diverse array of jobs including major restoration projects at The Thomas Cole National Historic Site, the Hudson Opera House, Foreland Catskill, various historic house museums, early churches, and private residences.

Today, Brad offers his clients a streamlined and efficient building process, spearheading projects all the way from a conceptual vision, right through to completion. Brad's deep appreciation for historic architecture, admiration for the simplicity and flow of modern spaces, combined with good aesthetic sense, allows him to tastefully combine the traditional and contemporary in new construction, or consciously preserve an elegant historic structure; all executed with timeless craftsmanship. While the visual aspects of design are exceedingly important, Brad's expertise reaches throughout the industry and he often collaborates with the areas very best contractors, design professionals, and utilizes the latest technology.
